The Enable-IT™ 680 HDMI A/V Extender is a HDMI over Ethernet solution that drives your signals up to 300ft or 100m. Standard HDMI cables are limited to 15ft or 5m. High quality HDMI cables can support decent quality signal up to 20 - 30ft. Costs associated with HDMI cables are quite high and can exceed hundreds of dollars. This A/V extender kit drives HDMI video feeds into Dual RJ-45 Ethernet jacks for transport over any Category rated Ethernet cabling such as CAT5e/CAT6 between the Enable-IT 680 units. Two Ethernet cables are required between the 680 units.
