Enable-IT develops a wide range of copper point to point, copper point to multipoint and wireless (WiFi) Ethernet Extending solutions.  Ethernet Extension devices were pioneered by Enable-IT, Inc. beginning in 1997 and employ both powered and un-powered use of transmission technologies for use over CAT-2 untwisted copper wire up to Cat-6 UTP, telephone wire, coax, alarm circuit, Dry pair or Wet Pair cabling.

Solutions like the Enable-IT 8850 LRE ideal for deploying extended Ethernet where there is no electricity or limited power at one end in Multi-tenant installations such as Hotels, apartments and homes.

Ethernet Extenders are plug-and-play modules that install quickly on existing copper twisted-pair network infrastructure.  Enable-IT Ethernet Extenders allow users to drive their Ethernet segments beyond the IEEE 802.3 specifications of distance limitation (328 feet/100 meters for thick coax, thin coax, and twisted pair cabling with speeds of 10 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s, and 1000Mb/s.) 

Enable-IT Ethernet Extension modules provide for longer range, high-speed data and voice communication links between  separated LANs or LAN devices. The product range of Ethernet Extenders offered by Enable-IT are typically deployed in Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality HSIA environments. They provide solutions for Wireless AP extension, POE (Power over Ethernet) apps, POS (Point of Sale) apps and general LAN extension.
